2017年7月4日，英国中央兰开夏大学受邀出席中英生命科学技术合作及项目投资长沙研讨会。本次研讨会由英国驻广州总领事馆、英国国际贸易部和湖南长沙湘江新区管理委员会共同主办，邀请了英国驻广州总领事副总领事Karen Maddocks、湖南湘江新区管理委员会曹立军主任和罗社辉副主任作为特邀嘉宾，同时也邀请了政府部门、大学机构以及企业代表来推介项目，包括英国国际贸易部高级贸易投资官员梁雪、伦敦发展促进署中国区副总裁成知鱼、牛津大学科技创新江苏项目经理宋丽、奈特华（上海）商务咨询有限公司常务董事Joanna Lavan和总经理潘琼雅、全球技术创新联盟中国区总监Robin Peter Tensen、英国中央兰开夏大学创新与企业处处长John Lonsdale 博士和兰开夏科技（深圳）有限公司项目经理周玉花博士。

On 4th July 2017, University of Central Lancashire (“UCLan”) was invited to UK China (Changsha) Life Sciences Technology Transfer and Investment Seminar. This seminar was hosted by British Consulate-General Guangzhou, Department for International Trade and Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Management Committee. This seminar has invited Karen Maddocks, Deputy Consul General British Consulate-General Guangzhou, Lijun Cao, Director of Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Management Committee and Shehui Luo, Deputy Director of Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Management Committee as keynote speakers. There are many representatives from Government Departments, universities and enterprises attending this seminar and introducing projects, including Emily Liang, Senior Trade & Investment Officer of Department for International Investment, Tracy Cheng, Vice-President of London & Partners Shanghai Office, Amy Song, Project Manager of Oxford University Innovation Jiangsu, Joanna Lavan, Managing Director and Pamela Pan, General Manager of Connect China, Robin Peter Tensen, Head of China Operations of Globaltech IP, Dr. John Lonsdale, Director of Department of Innovation and Enterprise of UCLan and Dr. Eva Zhou, Project Manager of UCLan Technology (Shenzhen) Ltd (“UTSL”).
